JOB – Mechanical Technician LOCATION – Hampshire TERM- PermanentSALARY - £33,000 - £40,000, dependent on experienceMy client is a manufacturer in the Oil & Gas industry. They are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their team in Hampshire on a permanent basis.     The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Time Served Apprenticeship / NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar in an Engineering discipline 
  • Come from a Mechanical background
  • Knowledge of Electrical equipment and installations 
  • Ideally be experienced working with plant equipment / machinery in Oil & Gas, Energy or related industries  
  • Ideally be experienced in Maintenance and Process Operations 
  • NEBOSH qualification would be beneficial 
  • Able to work safely and methodically
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team
  • A flexible and proactive attitude towards work 
The Mechanical Technician role will involve:
  • Working in a team to improve and maintain manufacturing machinery
  • Being proactive in ensuring the smooth running of all equipment 
  • PPM and breakdown avoidance 
  • Ensuring documentation is maintained and Health & Safety standards are met 
  • Ensuring efficiency and a high standard of work is met throughout the site
  • Working with others and being an excellent team player
