About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team on the acute wards at a Hampshire Hospital. This is a full-time locum position, with a minimum contract duration of three months, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a fast-paced acute setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy to patients on acute wards.
- Effectively manage complex patient discharges, including liaising with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies.
- Provide expert assessment and treatment for individuals with acute physical health conditions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Participate in team meetings and ensure accurate documentation of patient progress.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the HCPC.
- Recent experience working in acute physical health settings.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex discharges confidently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Adaptability to work within a multidisciplinary team in a high-pressure environment.
