As Workshop Administrator you will be liaising with customers to book in their machinery for a service or repair, you will be ordering spare parts, arranging appointments for the workshop and preparing quotes and invoices.

Job role: Workshop Administrator including customer liaison to book in the service and repair for equipment and machinery, working closely with the mechanics, technicians and manufacturers.

Location: Winchester

Hours: 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday

Working as a Workshop Administrator for an award winning business based on the outskirts of Winchester, you will be a key point of contact for customers, the workshop and manufacturers.

This Workshop Administrator involves the following:

  • telephone contact with customers regarding the repair and servicing of their machines and equipment
  • booking in repair and service jobs, liaising with the workshop and co-ordinating availability with customers
  • scheduling deliveries, collections and service calls
  • creating estimates and liaising with the parts department
  • ordering spare parts and updating stock levels
  • raising invoices and taking customer payments
  • processing warranty claims and dealing with manufacturers
  • keeping up to date with technical data, bulletins and new products
  • working with your colleagues to improve department processes

As the Workshop Administrator, an understanding of machines or equipment repairs would be an advantage, however this is not essential. The key criteria are excellent communication skills, a resilient and pro-active approach to liaising with customers and keeping them informed.

My client are also looking for strong administration skills, an organised approach and someone who is adept at dealing with different parts, prices and numerical information. You will work as part of a supportive team and you will be good at building successful working relationships with customers, colleagues and external contacts.

The hours are from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, the company offer free onsite parking, 20 days holiday plus 8 x bank holidays, a pension and staff discount. The salary advertised is broad to include the core hours and overtime potential. Your own transport would be ideal as they are based on the outskirts of Winchester.
