We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the science department by preparing materials for experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe laboratory environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in science and a keen eye for detail.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Prepare materials and equipment for science experiments and demonstrations.
  • Assist teachers during practical science lessons and ensure that all experiments are carried out safely.
  • Maintain and organise science laboratory equipment and chemicals.
  • Conduct regular checks and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including the proper disposal of chemicals.
  • Support the science department with administrative tasks and inventory management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A qualification in a science-related field is preferred.
