Area Property Manager (Retirement Portfolio) - South England - c£44k

Our client is a long established, property management group whose specialist divisions cover all aspects of Residential Property, including the Retirement Community Sector across the South of England.

Founded on ethical principles which remain to the present day, they now seek an Area Property Manager within their Retirement division as follows:

  • Working a 35 hour week, predominantly from home (and visiting sites), reporting into a Surrey/Hampshire borders office once weekly
  • Managing the staff and operations across 21 retirement community sites across Hampshire, Dorset and East Sussex (so living within sensible reach is essential)
  • Driving license & access to vehicle essential
  • You will NOT set budgets or undertake technical property management duties, rather you will focus on operational matters such as team management, legislative compliance, relationships (key stakeholders) and business opportunities (streamlining process, identifying efficiencies, additional revenue streams etc.)
  • Making regular visits to sites, motivating staff, ensuring customer and client satisfaction
  • Referring business critical matters back to head office as required
  • This is a rare opportunity to apply a property management skillset to a non-property management role whilst progressing your career in a related sector (so if the stress of mainstream block management is becoming to much, this could be the answer!)
  • Professional qualifications advantageous but not essential - our client will support TPI / RICS qualifications in post once settled

Suitable Area Property Manager applicants will have a thorough grounding in Property Management (though not necessarily retirement sites), excellent team management skills and a genuine commitment to improving standards to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Remember - this is NOT an operational role so the successful Property Manager will not have any responsibility for budgets, major works etc., rather they will oversee those who do, providing an excellent step into Area/Senior Management.

Salary for the successful Area Property Manager will comprise a £40k basic, £4k car allowance and extensive benefits including an excellent pension and outstanding annual leave entitlement, not to mention a short working week and an unmatched commitment to welfare/work life balance.

If you are a Property Manager looking to take a step away from mainstream block management and reside along the South Coast, please apply now for immediate consideration and further info.
