Our Client, Hampshire Council, are looking for Educational Psychologists to join their team.
Essential Information
- Candidates would need to commit to an absolute minimum of 2 assessments per month
- All EP's must have 3 years of experience to practice as a contractor
- Candidates need a PHD / Doctorate or Masters in Educational Psychology - or equivalent.
- Candidates must be able to provide 2 anonymous reports for HCC to read with CV submission
- Whilst in the role, all reports will be read and checked - critiqued where necessary
About the Role
- To contribute to improving the quality of education provided by maintained schools and academies in Hampshire and the Isle of White for children and young people and especially those with SEN by:
- Providing psychological advice (including statutory advice) to SEN services and other officers for children and young people aged 0 - 25.
- Providing psychological advice and support to communities, school, parents, children and young people.
- Contributing to multi - agency support for children and young people
What is the day-to-day of the role:
- Act as consultant on Psychological matters with parents, carers, teachers, other professionals working with children and young people.
- Work with staff in Education and Inclusion branch in order to contribute to school effectiveness
- Prepare and maintain writes records.
- You must be able to provide statutory advice to LA's in accordance with the SEN code of practice.
- You must be willing to attend SEN and disability tribunals as required by the LA.
