Managing Quantity Surveyor

A major highways project with a Tier 1 main contractor who are seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor in Winchester.

The main contractor is one of the leading engineering companies in the UK specialising in highways projects and currently turning over more than £600m per annum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a leading contractor on an extraordinary project.

Responsibilities (but not limited to) for Managing Quantity Surveyor:

  • Raise early warning notices to the client and subcontractors
  • Identify, notify and price compensation events
  • Produce or support the production of CVRs.
  • Manage subcontractors from tender enquiries to final accounts
  • Review subcontract quotations and place subcontract orders
  • Assess and pay subcontract applications
  • You will be responsible for preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages
  • Agreeing on final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Working closely with the commercial lead on day-to-day duties on the site.

Requirements for Managing Quantity Surveyor:

  • Experience in a management role within a commercial team (Desirable)
  • Highways experience or a similar Sector
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Full right to work in the UK.
