Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated RE Teacher to fulfil a temporary, full-time role within a large secondary school based in Winchester. This role is set to start in January 2025 through to July 2025.

As mentioned within the school's latest OFSTED report, this outstanding educational establishment is made up of a large secondary school where pupils embody the ethos and values of the school. The school values and ethos are based on the fundamental belief that they are a community of learners - adults and pupils alike - in which every individual should be enabled to enjoy learning, develop as a happy and healthy individual who is able to make a unique and positive contribution to society: learning together, achieving excellence. 

As the RE Teacher, you will be responsible for the learning and development of your pupils within your assigned classes. You will have a passion and enthusiasm for your specialism and provide an engaging delivery of the lesson content, and been keen to continue to uphold the excellent standards within the school.

The school are seeking an exceptional educator with these key attributes:- To be passionate about enabling all pupils to make good progress in learning- To be able to support the team in developing the curriculum and assessment- To develop new initiatives and pedagogies which will continue to improve teaching and learning- To actively engage in a culture of learning from each other and sharing good practice- To promote RE by celebrating pupils’ success, organising enrichment activities and promoting exceptional behaviour for learning- To have an interest in teaching from Year 6-11

The salary for this role is currently set at the Main Pay Scale.

For this role, you will need:- Qualified Teacher Status with a degree in Religious Studies, or similar- A passion for teaching to your assigned classes - To support with development within the school and curriculum- Be available from January 2025 on a full-time basis
