Key Responsibilities of a Mental Health Assistant- Hampshire:- Provide emotional and psychological support to students, helping them navigate daily challenges and fostering a sense of independence.
- Assist with the physical needs of students, including lifting, hoisting, and personal care, while ensuring the utmost respect and dignity.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to deliver integrated care that supports both mental and physical health.
- Support students in building social and emotional skills, enhancing their self-esteem and confidence.
- Help facilitate therapeutic activities, providing individual or group support to promote mental well-being.
- A genuine passion for mental health, education, and supporting students to reach their full potential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience with physical care needs, including lifting, hoisting, and personal care would be an advantage.
- A commitment to providing the highest quality care, support, and mental health assistance to students.
- Relevant education and training in mental health or SEN desired
