We are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Services Officer (ASB) for a social housing client based in Hampshire. This is a great opportunity for someone, with experience in a similar role, to get back into work with an immediate start required.

The role is full time (37 hours per week), would last for two months + and would be split between working in office and out in the community. Please note that a valid driving license and enhanced DBS are required and a vehicle can be provided at work.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Act as a first point of contact, and lead officer, for ASB issues involving owner-occupiers
  • To attend case conferences to discuss and agree the use of tools and powers that are available to the partnership using the relevant legislation e.g. Public Protection Orders, Community Protection Notices, ensuring appropriate communication with, and representation of, key partner agencies throughout the process
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and a general overview of all legislation relating to anti-social behaviour, Safeguarding, and good practice from other partnerships
  • Lead on the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to help tackle anti-social behaviour throughout the district, in line with the overall aims of the annual Community Safety Delivery Plan
  • To take referrals from the other geographical specialists within the Neighbourhood Services Team related to ASB intervention
  • To develop an annual ASB summer patrol operation order and the national ASB week of action, alongside other national campaigns
  • To formulate protocols, policy, internal procedures and guidance on anti-social behaviour as appropriate
  • Promote good neighbour relations amongst residents and provide a first response to complaints related to Houses of Multiple Occupancy
  • To undertake core patrols across the District as directed by the Team Leader
