My client is growing their core IT Platform Team, as a result they require an expert Linux SME, with a focus on automation.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline Linux system management, deployment, and configuration tasks.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, deployment, and release processes for applications and infrastructure.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Automate the lifecycle management of Linux systems, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and decommissioning.
Experience required
- Expert knowledge and experience of Ansible.
- Experience of writing complex Ansible Playbooks.
- Expert RHEL 7/8/9 knowledge.
- Expert experience with using other Red Hat products such as Satellite, OpenShift, iDM, insights etc.
- Solid Git knowledge and CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Experience with Scripting and IaC (Bash, Python, YAML etc)
- Working knowledge of vSphere virtualisation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background using Red Hat.
