Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support within a mainstream primary school setting, located in Winchester. This role will be to support pupils with EHCP's on a 1:1 and small group basis, with some whole class support involved.

The school is a small primary school located within the heart of Winchester, where they encourage all young people to achieve to the best of their abilities whilst providing them with the best educational journey possible, in order to equip them for life after school. The school currently have a small number of pupils with EHCP's that require specialist support to ensure adaptable learning and encouragement support on a smaller scale basis. 

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will connect and develop a trusted relationship with the child/children you will be supporting, working collaboratively with the school, class teacher and parents to ensure you provide excellent tailored support to best assist with the learning of the pupil.

Currently we are looking for empathetic, nurturing and passionate individuals to work with a pupil who has recently been diagnosed with Autism and is primary aged, working at a lower level. The pupil struggles with loud or busy environments but is keen to learn. You will provide tailored support to ensure the pupil is comfortable within their classroom environment, adapting learning materials to their interests and understanding their needs. 

For this role, you will:- Have previous school experience- Be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of ways- Have previous SEN/SEMH experience (desirable) - Be able to take a caring and responsive approach, and able to work on a one-to-one basis 

The salary for this role is currently set between £85-95 per day, and is a long-term, full time position on a temporary basis.
