Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint a 2:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to two wonderful children who thrive with one-on-one care and attention to work Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays. For the right candidate however, the school would be prepared to consider full time applicants.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be involved with:

  • Providing 1:1 and shared support to two children with identified SEN needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.
  • Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), supporting the children's development in communication, social, and emotional skills.
  • Fostering positive relationships with the children, helping them feel secure and confident in their learning environment.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt activities and resources to meet the children's specific needs.

    Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:

    • Experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, particularly those with SEN (desirable).
    • Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support children with a range of additional needs (e.g., speech and language, sensory processing, or autism) (desirable).
  • To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

    • Hold right to work in the UK
    • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
    • Provide references upon request
    • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
