We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced English Teacher to join a mixed SEN School in Hampshire, where both pupils and staff can grow. This supportive and inclusive school caters for pupils aged 7-16 whose needs can no longer be met in a mainstream provision.  An Ofsted Outstanding rated school (Nov 2022), it prioritises making a positive, lifelong difference to the lives of their pupils through holistic growth. 

A passionate  English Teacher, you will join a committed team of skilled teachers, therapists, and professionals who work together to ensure each child is empowered to learn through a programme tailored to their specific needs. You will play a vital role in delivering the English curriculum whilst instilling confidence among pupils from KS2 to KS4. You will enjoy creating a stimulating environment that engages pupils in English, working with them to develop their skills and overcome barriers to learning.  You will need to have a passion for teaching English, with strong classroom and behavioural management skills. You will also ideally have SEN experience, although this is not essential.

This is a full-time permanent English Teacher role starting in September, although it may be offered sooner, or on a temporary basis, for the right candidate Skills and requirements:

  • QTS
  • The right to work in the UK
  • A DBS on the update service, or willing to apply
  • Degree in English (or related subject)
  • Solid background in teaching English
  • SEN experience (ideal but not essential)
  • Strong classroom and behavioural management skills
  • Inspirational, driven and passionate teacher
  • Full driving licence
  • Available to start in September, or sooner.
