Description

As Head of IT Operations, your key responsibilities are to manage the company's IT, Telecoms & Hardware. You will be required to manage specialist IT 3 rd service partners / consultants. The role involves having a strong focus on IT security, managing risk, and remaining compliant (CE/ DRP/ ISO).

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with innovative IT solutions and identify opportunities for improvements in business and IT operations.
  • Ensure proactive measures are in place to protect against cyber threats and IT risks, maintaining an up-to-date IT risk register and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Support the creation and administration of IT Disaster Recovery (DRP) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to ensure operational resilience in the event of a crisis.
  • Oversee the Change Management process to ensure IT system and infrastructure updates are implemented smoothly, minimizing business risk.
  • Manage IT service delivery, ensuring efficient day-to-day IT operations across all locations.
  • Maintain and oversee relationships with third-party IT providers and suppliers.
  • Address and resolve IT-related queries and support requests from internal staff.
  • Administer mobile device accounts, manage asset inventories, process invoices, and procure hardware as needed.
  • Participate in relevant training and development activities to enhance skills and effectiveness.
  • Ensure IT issues are resolved within agreed service levels (SLAs), with appropriate communication and escalation where necessary.
  • Manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring staff have appropriate system access and permissions.
  • Administer employee mailboxes, service accounts, and access permissions.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of IT equipment, including mobile devices, computers, and laptops.
  • Perform any other relevant duties within the scope of the role.

Profile

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills and background:

Education, Training, and Skills:

  • Certification in IT security is essential.
  • ITIL service delivery certification is desirable.
  • Project Management (PM) training and certification would be advantageous.
  • Formal training in managing Microsoft/Azure networks and platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and M365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VBA, is beneficial.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
  • Ability to take initiative in investigating and resolving IT issues.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to gather and interpret relevant information.
  • Ability to work within project frameworks and meet tight deadlines independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Ability to remain calm and motivated under pressure.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Office 365 user administration (e.g., adding/removing users) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven ability to manage IT teams, contractors, and consultants.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
