What it's like to work here Seen by many as the birthplace of modern democracy, this open landscape beside the Thames was witness to King John's historic sealing of the Magna Carta over 800 years ago. As well as a monument to the legacy of the Magna Carta, Runnymede hosts further memorials to John F. Kennedy and the Commonwealth Air Forces, and a series of art installations, including unique works by Hew Locke and Mark Wallinger.

Within easy reach of the M25, our rangers look after stunning wildflower meadows, Langham Pond and ancient woodland (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) and the oldest tree in the National Trust's care, amongst other places. Our visitor experience teams welcome visitors to enjoy our tearoom, a picnic, take in the views, ride bikes along the riverbank, try a spot of fishing or walk dogs on one of our waymarked walks.

You will report into our Property Operations Manager and will be the key contact for Runnymede in the National Trust.
