Recruited UK are delighted to be working with a short-term business finance lender who help small to medium-sized businesses grow and manage money problems whenever needed.

They aim to supply fast finance options to help businesses who need access to quick cash to patch up dips in cash flow.

They are now looking to expand their team and are now looking for a Credit Controller to join them.

Responsibilities

  • Follow our clients debt collection policy which will involve learning company processes.
  • Gain an understanding of business priorities which will allow you to achieve the core objectives.
  • Speaking to existing customers that are behind on their repayments and be tasked with collecting their arrears.
  • Be prepared for confrontational conversations and be firm, but to the point when recovering customer arrears. It will be important to prepare the facts before each call.
  • Update the borrower's account notes accurately when allocating payments or making changes, whilst managing in and outbound calls.
  • Take charge of the admin aspect of the role to ensure that all correspondence with all customers is tracked and monitored.
  • Review financial accounts and bank statements to assess levels of affordability for our customers. Based on these findings, you will be able to offer payment plans based on their affordability.
  • Monitor all loans that are in a reduced plan and assess their affordability on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure KPI’s are achieved to maximise profits.

What our client is looking for

  • You must be extremely confident speaking to customers over the phone and have the ability to adapt your style of language depending on the type of call you are taking.
  • You must have the initiative to negotiate, to make reasonable and suitable arrangements.
  • Excellent organisational skills are a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Have basic knowledge with Excel.
  • Be extremely driven to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly KPI’s.
  • You must be someone who can quickly integrate with the team and take on all the above points within the 3-month probation period.
  • Starting salary of £28,000 - £30,000 PA
