Commercial Director

Location: LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Windsor, SL4 4AY

Contract: 37.5 hours per week, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays according to our operational calendar

Here at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, we are approaching our festive season of events, and we are recruiting for a confident, strategic and proactive Commercial Director to join our Resort Leadership team!

As our Commercial Director you will lead our AWESOME commercial teams: Retail & VIP, Adventure Golf, Admissions, Buying and our third-party partners who deliver our Food & Beverage, Photography, Games and Face Painting services. You’ll champion our existing relationship with our LEGO partners, working closely with them as our key IP provider.

You will lead by example in all aspects of your role, with a key focus on the delivery of first-class guest experiences by developing your high performing team to exceed our guests’ expectations at every possible opportunity, all the while seeking out innovative ways to maximise revenue.

We’d love you to bring your considerable retail and commercial management, combined with your passion for improving our guest experience and team engagement to the role. With your keen eye for future planning, revenue forecasting experience, brand awareness and tactical approach to KPIs you will drive your team to success and the resort to commercial growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in a commercial or retail senior leadership role, looking after large and diverse teams and working with stakeholders of all levels of seniority.
  • Strategic budgeting and forecasting will be something you’re confident and comfortable delivering, having previously managed large budgets, revenue maximization, proposal and implementation of new targets and their subsequent ROI.
  • With your Crisis Management experience, you will keep a cool head when managing incidents and always be a driver of Health, Safety & Compliance best practice in line with our Merlin Group H&S policies and HSG 175. As one of our primary Incident Directors at the resort you will lead by example, developing and seeking out resort-wide working relationships to influence and engage your stakeholders in all aspects of H&S best practice.
  • Be passionate about people with the ability to lead large teams, and through your teams seek out moments to improve our guest experience KPIs.

About the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort

We are looking for a Commercial Director to join our AWESOME team at the UK’s favourite children’s theme park; the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is the ultimate destination for families with children age 2-12. The Resort is home to two awesome LEGO themed Hotels and a host of rides, shows and attractions built around the iconic LEGO® brick. This role is based at the Windsor theme park, located in 150 acres of beautiful parkland.
