Desktop Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join our client. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for technology, strong customer service skills, and experience providing remote and onsite support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd Line support for Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Active Directory
  • Troubleshoot hardware & software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Support and manage ticketing systems, ensuring timely issue resolution
  • Assist with networking issues (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
  • Work alongside 1st and 3rd Line Support teams to escalate complex problems
  • Maintain user accounts & permissions (Active Directory & Exchange)
  • Support remote users via RDP, VPN, and remote access tools

Key Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Exchange, and Active Directory
  • Experience with ticketing systems and working to SLAs
  • Understanding of basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
