We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and pro-active SEN Support Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is ideal for someone who can provide empathetic support to students with special educational needs, including those with autism. The position involves classroom support and requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs within the classroom setting.
  • Understand and empathise with students’ needs, adapting support to cater to individual requirements.
  • Work as part of a friendly and supportive team, contributing to a positive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to facilitate students’ educational and social development.
  • Cover lessons for absent staff as needed, ensuring continuity of education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience of working in a school environment, preferably with autistic students.
  • A good standard of education, with a grade C/level 4 or above in GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of the role.
