An inclusive specialist school in Windsor is looking for compassionate and driven Teaching Assistants to support students aged 8 to 18 with complex mental health and behavioural needs, as well as those in care. The school provides a safe and structured environment tailored to help children who have experienced trauma or emotional challenges, enabling them to grow personally and academically.
This role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or Counselling, or for individuals with experience supporting children or vulnerable adults. You'll gain hands-on experience with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and developmental trauma, preparing you for future roles in psychology, therapy, education, or criminal justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic growth through personalised strategies.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
- Implement therapeutic practices alongside trained psychologists and therapists.
- Foster trusting relationships to help students regulate emotions and build resilience.
- Adapt your approach to meet individual student needs effectively.
This position offers invaluable frontline experience in working with young people with significant needs. You'll collaborate with a team of experienced professionals, gaining insight into restorative and therapeutic approaches to education.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 qualification or higher (a Degree is highly desirable).
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (personal or professional).
- Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
- A genuine interest in mental health and supporting young people.

- Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Windsor
- Start Date: Immediate
- Pay: 83 - 95 per day (dependent on experience, qualifications, and training).
- Contract: Long-term temporary, with the potential for permanent roles.
- Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
- Experience: Desired but not essential; a passion for helping young people is key.
