Our client is one of the world’s leading hotel companies, with a broad portfolio of brands. As they continue to expand and enhance their operations, we are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team and support the procurement needs for their French hotels and clients. The is a 6 to12 month contract, paying up to £450 per day inside of IR35. The role is Windsor based one day per week and 4 days from home.

Role Overview

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day hotel procurement activities, including purchasing stock and overseeing inventory lists across our clients’ French properties. This is a hands-on, generalist role that will require an individual with strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and familiarity with procurement processes within a hospitality environment. The successful candidate will work closely with hotel teams to ensure that procurement runs smoothly and efficiently, ensuring stock levels are maintained while supporting overall business needs.

This position offers flexibility in terms of remote working. Fluency in French is essential, as the role will involve frequent communication with French hotel teams and clients.

What is expected of the Procurement Specialist?

  • Manage and support daily procurement activities for our clients French properties, including purchasing hotel stock and supplies.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate inventory lists, ensuring all required materials and products are available in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with hotel teams to understand their procurement needs and ensure they are met efficiently.
  • Assist with the purchase of items in line with our client’s procurement policies, ensuring all processes follow compliance standards.
  • Communicate effectively with French-speaking stakeholders to provide support and resolve any procurement-related issues.
  • Utilise BirchStreet Systems for managing procurement processes (training on BirchStreet will be provided).
  • Assist with general procurement duties such as tracking purchase orders, ensuring invoices are processed, and supporting the ongoing optimisation of inventory management.
  • Support ad-hoc procurement tasks and projects as required by the team or management.

What we look for in a Procurement Specialist?

  • Fluency in French is essential (spoken and written).
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and inventory management processes
  • Experience iin Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across various levels and locations.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
