We have an opportunity for a Technical Services Officer to join our Technical Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with NPD, Quality and Production Departments to ensure the successful launch of new products and promotional products with regard to artwork, customer specifications and factory specifications. Ensuring all product specifications adhere to food safety, legislative and customer policy requirements. To assist with sample submission documentation, maintaining Interspec, Product Database and Customer Systems.

An overview of the role responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Complete Sample Submission forms for NPD during the Sample Submission/product brief stage
  • Completing and progressing E-Works within the given timescales
  • Assist with Interspec amendment requests ensuring factory specifications are accurate
  • Work in conjunction with the relevant NPD Technologist during the Artwork process to ensure all packaging complies with current legislation and changes to artwork are communicated and documented when required
  • Attend relevant NPD Meetings when required
  • Assist with ensuring Product Database is completed using accurate information to ensure the system generates a correct outer case label and to ensure the barcodes entered are correct to ensure the Production Lynx Management systems works effectively
  • Ensure the Product Index is maintained for all products
  • Carry out general Technical Service duties as requested by the Technical Services Manager.
  • To assist in completing Customer specifications for any new products and to assist in ensuring any existing specifications are kept up to date with any changes i.e. COO, Supplier changes. Ensure Customer specifications are made active within the given timescales
  • Ensure all customer alerts are completed in a timely manner. Ensure when the alerts are received a print screen of the alert is forwarded in an e-mail to key internal contacts
  • Provide cover for Technical Administrator role as and when required including reports, complaints and trending

Candidates should have demonstrable experience working within a similar role with knowledge of Customer Specification Systems.

Excellent IT literacy is key along with the ability to be well organised with great attention to detail.

An ICT or Food qualification would be preferred however is not essential.
