Position Overview:
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are built to exact specifications. You will be responsible for setting out the site, establishing reference points, and ensuring that all works are carried out in compliance with design and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret project plans and drawings to set out accurate positions for construction.
- Establish site control points and benchmarks for surveying.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and site teams to ensure alignment on specifications.
- Conduct regular site surveys and inspections to verify measurements and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities and measurements.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to setting out.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on site.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer or in a similar surveying role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and surveying techniques.
- Proficient in the use of setting out equipment and surveying software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
