The Role: Teacher of DT (Engineering & Woodwork) 

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne 

Start date: ASAP 

Pay Scale: £165 - £235 (paid to scale) 

Design Technology Technician required for asap start at a Newcastle based Secondary School. Both a full and part-time position will be considered.

The school requires the DT Technician to be able to work across the full department. They would like the candidate to be proficient in resistant materials however full training would be provided should the right candidate not have this experience.

As a DT Technician you will be responsible for ensuring that a high level of support is provided in the department to both staff and students. You will be required to assist with the preparation of materials and resources for lessons and provide 1-1 support and work with small groups, allowing students to achieve and make progress.

The successful DT Technician will use be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to use their own initiative. They will be a team player who is able to prioritise the requirements of department and work independently to complete all tasks.

You will have:
• Experience working as a DT Technician or in a similar role/ industry
• 2 school/ educational based or relevant references
• Qualifications in the relevant field
