Looking for a FOOD TECH TEACHING position?

Dovetail & Slate are working with a Secondary School who need a Food Tech teacher to join a fantastic team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver Key Stage 3 and 4 Food Tech in a way that sparks curiosity and engagement, helping students learn in a positive environment.

You'll be covering an ongoing timetable that starts in November until the end of the academic year. The school is looking for someone who is passionate about delivering Spanish, that can bring the subject to life in an engaging and interactive way.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure all lessons are well prepared, all work marked regularly, and homework set according to agreed policy
  • Be able to teach up to GCSE level Food Tech
  • Ensure high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons across the subject
  • Communicate and consult with the parents of pupils through the attendance of Parents' Evenings

What you'll need:

  • Full right to work in the UK
  • A good understanding the of KS3 and GCSE Spanish curriculum
  • A passion for teaching Spanish that will engage students
  • A teaching qualification ideally PGCE with QTS
