Assistant Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a vibrant finance team in Winsford, Cheshire on a long fixed term contract.

Job spec:

- Preparation of management accounts and monthly financial analysis cost centre management

- Cashflow management and forecasting

- Intercompany management and reconciliations

- Budgeting, statutory reporting

- VAT/HMRC returns

- Supporting purchase ledger or sales ledger activities as required.

- Provide information as necessary during the full year and half year audit process.

- Support completion of statutory accounts

Person spec:

• The ability to work with minimal supervision and to a deadline.
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Ability to work well in a team
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to use computer software packages, including good knowledge of Excel.
• Previous experience of Oracle would be advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be given.
