Job Overview

EC&I Partners are seeking an experienced EC&I (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) Design Engineer to join our clients office-based team in Winsford. This role involves designing, developing, and overseeing electrical and control systems for wastewater treatment projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop EC&I systems for industrial and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Create technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using CAD software.
  • Specify and select electrical components, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with BS 7671, ATEX, IEC 61508, and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct design reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support to project teams and liaise with clients and contractors.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with site teams to support installation and commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
  • Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems.
  • Understanding of ATEX and functional safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
