Infrastructure Technician is required by an established manufacturing company located in Winsford and paying up to £40k. You will be responsible for supporting the company's IT infrastructure, serving as the primary point of contact for users. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, developing, and enhancing all IT systems to support the company's dynamic work environment, using technology to help the business gain a competitive edge.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security.
  • Administer servers with routine maintenance, patching and upgrades, ensuring backup systems function and data integrity is maintained.
  • Monitor firewalls and antivirus/malware protection for compliance with data standards.
  • Provide technical support, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly; assist with user account set up and desk moves.
  • Support IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
  • Coordinate with vendors for IT equipment procurement, repair, and technical support; manage warranties and service agreements.
  • Assist in developing and executing disaster recovery plans; regularly test backups and recovery systems.
  • Relay user issues and feedback to the software development team for system improvements.
  • Recommend and implement efficient technical solutions.
  • Assist HR with user on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
