Electrical Maintenance Technician, Permanent position, 47,000 basic + upto 20% pension, private medical, and on-going training.

Rotating shift pattern.
3 weeks Mon-Fri 6am-2pm.
1 week of Mon-Thurs 1pm-9pm, Fri 9.30am-5.30pm.
1 week of Mon-Fri 8pm-6am.

An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a dedicated team, focusing on statutory examination, maintenance, repair, and installation of various equipment. The role ensures legal compliance within an industrial setting and involves working with heavy machinery and plant equipment.

This position is ideal for a time-served Electrical Technician with recognised qualifications in electrical maintenance. Candidates with a background in heavy industry, who excel in fault-finding and thrive in high-pressure environments, will find this role particularly rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspection of existing plant machinery to maximise availability.
  • Execute repairs during breakdowns to minimise downtime and restore production swiftly.
  • Conduct fault-finding on diverse electrical equipment for all underground plant and machinery.
  • Undertake electrical installations and modifications in line with required standards.
  • Provide operational cover for shaft and surface activities as needed.
  • Engage in cross-skilled tasks such as rigging, burning, and welding.
  • Maintain high safety standards and ensure effective housekeeping.
  • Adhere to all statutory and company instructions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for environmental health and safety.
