In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and blasting commercial vehicle trailers, ensuring a high-quality finish before the painting and coating process. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in shot blasting, particularly in trailer manufacturing or heavy commercial vehicle bodywork.Key Responsibilities:* Carry out shot blasting on commercial vehicle trailers to remove rust, old coatings, and surface contaminants.* Prepare trailers for painting and coating, ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned and profiled.* Work with a range of materials, including stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium.* Operate blast pots, air compressors, and other blasting equipment efficiently and safely.* Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.* Maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.* Work towards production targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Requirements:* Previous experience in shot blasting within a commercial vehicle or trailer manufacturing environment.* Knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques and materials.* Ability to handle and operate blasting equipment safely.* Experience working with automotive and industrial coatings is desirable.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Shift & Pay Details:* Dayshift: Monday - Friday, 07:30 AM - 4:30 PM (3:30 PM finish on Fridays).* Pay Rate: Up to £16.44 per hour, depending on experience - will take lower or semi-skilled workers to begin with at lower rates until trained up to full rate standard.* Overtime available at enhanced rates.Benefits:* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.* Employee Assistance Programme for support and wellbeing.* On-site parking with electric/plug-in charging points.* Subsidised onsite canteen with meal options.* Overtime bonus scheme to reward extra hours.* Free birthday breakfast, free fruit daily, and Cake Fridays!How to Apply:If you're a skilled Shot Blaster looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent benefits, we want to hear from you!Contact:Bradley Bayliss??
