We are seeking a talented Buyer to join our client's team in Winsford. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our business by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials, components, and services.

This is an opportunity to play an influential role in a growing business and be part of their exciting expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
  • Forecast and plan purchasing requirements based on manufacturing plans and inventory levels
  • Track and expedite orders to meet delivery deadlines
  • Create and maintain accurate part numbers and BOMs
  • Resolve invoice queries promptly
  • Support inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse teams to address discrepancies
  • Support the implementation of category strategies and cost-saving initiatives
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory levels
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, procurement software, and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (desirable)
  • Understanding of quality control standards and procedures (desirable)
