Commercial Vehicle Technician
Cheshire West
47,000 per Annum

Cast UK is looking for an educated and driven Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our client's Fleet Services team. The role offers the opportunity to join an established organisation and develop within your role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to all Health and Safety aspects and reporting any non-compliance issues promptly
  • Carry out major and minor repair of heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles in the company fleet as well as those operated by third parties
  • Conducting planned maintenance, preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs
  • Undertake to vehicles that have failed or require repair as well as responding to emergency call outs
  • Willingness to participate in emergency out of hours call out rota
  • To be able to identify and diagnose faults to vehicles

Skills Required

  • NVQ, Apprenticeship, City & Guilds I, II and III
  • Understanding of the industry and technology relating to heavy vehicles
  • To be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong understanding of plant technology and functionality
  • Willingness to travel to different sites
  • Health and safety approach with no exceptions
  • Willingness to work shift hours and unsociable hours
