Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Roofing & Cladding


About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with expertise in roofing and cladding to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial and financial management of roofing and cladding projects, ensuring cost control, compliance, and profitability. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the success of high-profile projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial and contractual aspects of roofing and cladding projects.

  • Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and tenders.

  • Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Monitor project expenditures, ensuring costs are within budget and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

  • Assess, manage, and mitigate commercial risks associated with roofing and cladding works.

  • Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.

  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to maintain smooth operations.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices.

  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-efficient solutions.



Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a QS role, with specific experience in roofing and cladding projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control.

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in QS software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Chartered status (RICS or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
