MS576 - Multi-Skilled Engineer, Elec Bias (4 on 4 off)Location: Bromborough, Wirral Salary: £ Completive per annumOverview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a multi-skilled engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out ongoing preventative and emergency maintenance work throughout the sites.Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and closing out all equipment failures, work orders and PPM jobs.
  • Responsible for your own engineering hand back procedures.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to specification and that food safety standards are met.
  • Ensure that targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of problems.
  • Chooses the most appropriate method and tools for communication.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any issues to minimize any downtime, quality and efficiency problems.
  • Understand and contribute using a range of risk assessment techniques in order to ensure safety of plant, equipment and people.
  • Continually strive to reduce costs whilst ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
  • Be adaptable to any shift pattern that the company deems necessary for the business.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Broad Knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Electrical & PLC/Inverter Assets.
  • Experience of working on high hazard equipment & competent in undertaking safe isolation/
  • Time Served Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical (Essential).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Essential).
  • HNC or Equivalent technical certificate (Essential).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential).
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Lean Manufacturing i.e. six sigma
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (Desirable).
  • FLT certified (Desirable).
  • MEWP certified (Desirable).
