Looking for a finance role that's anything but ordinary? We're are recruiting for a high-growth business based on the Wirral area who are recruiting for an experienced Finance Business Partner who wants to work for a business who passionate, driven and thrives on teamwork.

The Role

As Finance Business Partner you'll be the financial expert driving sales and margin growth. You'll play a crucial role in shaping strategy with clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Commercial Finance, working directly with the operational and sales directors
  • Track and report daily margin performance vs budget at product group level, with weekly performance analysis.
  • Deliver sharp, insightful analysis on product and promo performance to drive margin growth, and challenge when needed.
  • Scenario plan for price and margin changes, forecasting their impact on sales and margin.
  • Partner with category managers to build budgets and forecasts for sales, margin, and commercial income.
  • Stay ahead of margin forecasts by understanding how current trading impacts budgets.
  • Support the trading team in supplier negotiations, analysing profitability and the impact of cost changes.
  • Build sales and cost models
  • Review and challenge commercial proposals, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Act as the go-to between teams, flagging supplier funding risks and commercial income opportunities.
What You'll Need
  • Experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment
  • Sharp commercial awareness and strong numeracy skills - you'll love to dig into the details and challenge the status quo.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver financial results.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Qualified or qualified by experience
