Hours - Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm



Apleona UK is seeking a dynamic Senior EHS Specialist to join our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) team to drive our commitment to environmental, health and safety excellence. This pivotal role ensures compliance and promotes a culture of safety across our operations and our life science client operations in the Wirral.


The Senior EHS Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including our Technical Hard Services Team and our contractors, our Soft Service Team, our life science client facilities team and client EHS team to implement and support impactful EHS programs.


The position offers significant growth opportunities as we and our client invest in life science, your professional development and career development. As the champion for EHS initiatives, the Specialist will support our IFM team, our large range of contractors and our client to achieve a zero-accident culture and carry out work to maintain our exemplary EHS record. The specialist will make a tangible difference to our IFM team, our contractors and our clients EHS culture.

What do you need?


  • Experience working in aLife Sciences / Pharmaceutical or a Regulated Compliant Environment.
  • Workingwith Quality Management System requirements.
  • Knowledge/Experience of Occupational Hygiene EHS preferably in a LabIGxP Pharmaceutical Environment.
  • Level 3 or above Health and Safety practitioner (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)
  • A foundation level or above Environment qualification
  • Experience of working in cGMP & cGDP environments
  • Knowledge of Facilities Management - soft and hard services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours to ensure our client receives the best service all the time
  • Auditing experience
  • Experience of dealing with site waste (general & Hazardous), documentation and compliance
