Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of maintaining and optimising a variety of plant equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, minimising downtime and keeping production on track.
  • Lead planned preventative maintenance efforts, proactively addressing potential issues before they become problems.
  • Collaborate closely with our production team to drive improvements in efficiency and reliability.
  • Keep detailed maintenance records and contribute to performance reporting, helping to shape the future of our operations.
  • Champion health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all industry regulations.
  • Innovate and implement process improvements that boost productivity and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a completed apprenticeship in Plant Maintenance.
  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role.
  • Strong expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering, with a knack for tackling complex challenges.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and automated machinery is a significant advantage.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to think on your feet and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, covering both days and nights.
