The Candidate

  • Experience within a faced past environment 
  • Apprentice Trained 

The Role

  • To comply with GMP by constantly working to all relevant written procedures, especially in relation to the completion of engineering logs, machine logs, equipment set up and operation procedures.
  • To ensure that all equipment and machine activities are carried out in compliance with safety procedures or work instructions.
  • To constantly challenge and report any unsafe working practises by completion of a “near miss” report form and liaison with the area representative of employee safety.
  • To develop effective set-up and change over procedures which will maximise line utilisation and efficiency.
  • Provide speedy and effective “trouble shooting” support to remedy line problem during production runs on all processes, but with reference to automatic packing lines.
  • To be responsible for the issue and receipt of production equipment and tooling in accordance with the correct procedures.
  • To monitor and report the stock levels and usage of critical spares for all equipment.
  • To carry out and complete all task that are requested through the “engineering request system”.
  • Work closely with other members of the Company to establish priority for his work which meets company objectives.
  • Ensuring machine safety to ensure no lost time or reportable accidents / incidents.
  • Ensure equipment provides product to a high-quality standard.
  • Maximising packing line utilisation and overall efficiency.
  • Minimising machine down time, due to equipment breakdown.
  • Minimising machine down due to damaged tooling or equipment.
  • Minimising machine / equipment downtime by holding agreed levels of critical spares.
