Aspion are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer known for producing high-quality conduits and channel tubing used across various industries. The company are dedicated to delivering top-notch products that meet and exceed their clients' expectations. As a company committed to innovation and excellence, they are seeking a Trainee Production Assembly Operative to join their dynamic team.

The Trainee Production Assembly Operative will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, possibly with an engineering background, and posses a hands-on approach to following production processes to manufacture tubing for diverse industries.

The candidate will initially undergo a shadowing period for the first 6-8 weeks to learn the production methods thoroughly which will be Monday to Friday day shifts. Subsequently, they will gradually take on more responsibilities and tasks as they become proficient leading to a 36 hours weekend shift covering 3 12 hour shifts Friday to Sunday.

Responsibilities:

  • Shadow experienced production assembly operatives to understand the tubing manufacturing process thoroughly during the initial month of employment.
  • Assist in assembling according to established production procedures and guidelines.
  • Learn to operate and maintain machinery and equipment required for tube manufacturing.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure the final product meets the company's standards.
  • Collaborate with senior operatives to troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Continuously develop a deep understanding of the manufacturing process, machinery, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report progress and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Embrace opportunities for learning and skill development to enhance overall performance.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude with a possible background in engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on approach with a keen interest in working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions closely and adhere to established production processes.
  • Physical fitness and ability to engage in manual tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of assembled products.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during production.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and report progress.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the manufacturing process.
  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
