Payroll Advisor

Reed recruitment are currently working with a fantastic FMCG client who are looking for a Payroll Advisor to join their HR function. This role is integral to managing the production of monthly payrolls, ensuring compliance with UK statutory legislation and company policies, and handling the accurate and timely calculation of payments to external statutory bodies and third-party providers.

Day to day of the role:
  • Oversee the collation of source data and preparation of BACS payments for monthly payrolls.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with UK statutory legislation and company policies.
  • Prepare financial postings for UK reporting requirements and audits (internal and statutory).
  • Stay updated on UK pay and benefits legislation and implement changes in line with legislation and company policies.
  • Prepare for internal and statutory audits (HMRC).
  • Work closely with HR Shared Services (HRSS) and HR teams to ensure accurate data flow and translation of employee changes to payments.
  • Manage tax year-end processes, including P11d and PSA returns.
  • Update external systems related to pensions, private healthcare, and company cars.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to extract and interpret payroll data.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of statutory legislation.
  • Effective workload management.
  • Strong communication skills.
