Sales Account Manager

Total Staff Services is recruiting on behalf of a leading company specializing in commercial building solutions across the UK. With an impressive portfolio of blue-chip clients, including major retailers, hotel chains, and logistics providers, our client is a trusted expert in their field. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Account Manager to manage both new and existing business relationships, helping to drive the company's continued success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing client accounts, ensuring strong, long-lasting relationships
  • Develop new business relationships, generating and negotiating new opportunities to meet agreed sales targets and KPIs
  • Conduct a minimum of 30 calls per day as part of your outreach, focusing on both new prospects and existing accounts
  • Work closely with senior decision-makers to ensure your company is their preferred supplier
  • Spot and act on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within both new and existing accounts
  • Work with a strategic mindset to identify profitable opportunities and ensure long-term business success
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and opportunities in company systems
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to support targeted outreach efforts and campaigns

Essential Skills:

  • Proactive, intuitive, and driven to exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal, with a strong phone presence
  • Positive and enthusiastic, with the ability to foster strong client relationships
  • Ability to prioritize and organize a busy workload
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Tenacity and resilience when faced with challenges
  • Strategic thinking to identify sales opportunities within accounts

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as an Account Manager in a sales-focused role
  • Experience working within a B2B environment
  • Experience managing relationships with clients at all levels, including directors
