**Make the role your own**Lead by example**Christmas shutdown**I am currently seeking a qualified Financial Controller to establish and oversee the financial organisation, manage financial administrative processes, and provide essential steering information to the management team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities within the company, including managing debtor and creditor accounts, monthly closures, and the provision of management information. The Finance Controller will lead a small team and report directly to the Managing Director.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Financial Oversight: Establish and maintain the financial organisation to ensure optimal performance and compliance with legal standards.
  • Administrative Management: Organise all financial administrative processes to maintain efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strategic Reporting: Provide critical steering information to the management to aid in strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Account Management: Manage debtor and creditor accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Financial Closures: Handle monthly financial closures, prepare financial statements, and ensure they are completed in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Management Information: Produce and provide detailed management information reports to facilitate informed decisions by the management team.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage another member of the team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience in financial management and administration, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams and developing staff.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organisation and external partners.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software and systems, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
