Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a Recycling Operative with FLT for our client specialising in Recycling Waste Streams for individual clients. This is a temporary ongoing position with the potential to join the company permanently following a successful probation period.


Your job role will be to assist site operations to ensure all waste streams are correctly identified and segregated into the correct receptacles for bailing / disposal. Complete all aspects of health & safety reporting as and when required.


Your own transport and a valid FLT license is required.


Job Summary
Waste operative to ensure waste streams are collected (where applicable) and segregated correctly
Working with all site staff assisting with the smooth operation of client site
Provide client with innovations and waste segregation best practice
Provide Health and safety support whilst on site, ensuring site adhere to H&S, EA and other regulatory body's policy and procedures
Key Tasks
Day-to-day site operations and waste requirements
Ensure all waste streams are segregated and stored correctly after process in accordance with site and Axil health & safety policies and procedures
Following advice and instructions given by Supervisor
Ensure you are a role model for other employees - conduct and behavior
Undertake any training provided to assist you in your role
Support other staff and provide guidance where needed
Encourage a positive work environment and culture for all employees
Carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the company or customer may require you to undertake from time to time
Conduct any site-specific tasks in conjunction with the customer to ensure all HS&E requirements are met and sustained
Be flexible in working hours to meet the needs of the business

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Driving licence
Knowledge of waste management site and processes (Desirable)
IT Skills, (Microsoft Office / Excel / Word)
Valid FLT licence
