JR240: GreenkeeperLocation: Tydd St Giles, CambridgeshireSalary: Competitive  Overview:  First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Greenkeeper on behalf of one of our clients.  Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: 

• To maintain the high standards of the golf course and holiday home development expected by our members and visitors
• Maintain the greens, surrounds, fairways, rough, tee’s, bunkers and other areas on the golf course on a regular and rotated basis to high standards
• Ensure all rubble and litter is removed from the golf course, the surrounding areas and the lodge development
• Ensure the grounds around the lodges are maintained in a clean and tidy manner on a regular basis. This may include grass cutting, weeding and strimming
• Ensure that the Greenkeepers compound is regularly cleaned and tidied , all machinery and equipment is regularly cleaned, serviced and locked when not in use
• Note and report any work requiring attention on the golf course or lodge development to the Head Greenkeeper as soon as possible
• Undertake minor repairs and other maintenance activities in line with your skills and professional competence
• Talk to customers in a friendly and helpful manner
• To undergo specific training as indicated by the Manager as and when required
• Take all reasonable steps to protect the health, safety and welfare of all employees, patrons and visitors, by promoting safe working practices
• Comply with company policies, rules and procedures at all times
• Any other duties as required by your line manager commensurate with your role

Skills and Qualifications:  

• Practical skills, to use a variety of tools, equipment and machinery
• Observational skills and attention to detail, to notice problems with the course
• Teamwork skills - and the ability to spend a lot of time working on your own
• A current full UK driving licence with category C
