Role OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning and follow pre-set lesson plans. Key Responsibilities:- Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and provide instructions for classwork as set by the subject teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, maintaining a calm and orderly atmosphere.
- Assist students with their work where appropriate, ensuring they stay on task.
- Report any incidents, safeguarding concerns, or issues to the appropriate staff members.
- Support the school’s ethos, values, and expectations in all interactions with students and staff.
- Provide additional support within the school as required, including administrative tasks or exam invigilation.
Essential:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and engaging with students.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a school environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people.
