I’m currently seeking an Interim Support Technician on behalf of a leading organisation based in Wisbech.This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional to make an immediate impact!ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for managing the upgrade of primarily laptops & mobile devices across the organisation, to ensure that devices are configured and deployed efficiently, while providing essential support to staff throughout the process.
  • Oversee and manage the upgrade process for laptops and mobile devices across the organisation.
  • Configure and set up new devices, ensuring they are fully functional and meet company standards.
  • Provide 1st line IT support to users during the upgrade process, resolving any hardware or software issues.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of new devices to users, including data migration and user support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the upgrade process.
  • Maintain an accurate log of devices and their status in the asset management system.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to support any additional IT-related tasks during the interim period.
Experience Required
  • Previous experience in an IT support role, ideally with experience in managing device upgrades.
  • Strong knowledge of laptop and mobile device configuration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in data migration and ensuring minimal disruption to users during device upgrades.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and supportive guidance to end users.
  • Organised and proactive, with a strong focus on delivering an excellent user experience.
