We are looking for an efficient and enthusiastic Conveyancing Secretary to join our clients busy Solicitors' office in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

The successful candidate will support a high-performing fee earners in our clients Conveyancing department, which deals with a wide range of property transactions. W

Our client is located with excellent public transport links, making the office easily accessible.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal administrative support, including audio typing, document preparation, and word processing
  • Manage file systems, both paper and electronic, ensuring documents are filed correctly and archiving maintained
  • Perform file opening, property searches, all administrative tasks including dealing with exchange, pre and post completion tasks
  • Complete SDLT forms and other conveyancing-related documentation
  • Communicate effectively with clients, third parties, and internal staff to ensure smooth transactions
  • Handle general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, printing, and preparing correspondence/forms
  • Support the department with any other secretary tasks as required

Key skills and knowledge:

  • Proficient in word processing with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong telephone manner and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks
  • Previous experience in a legal secretary role, ideally within conveyancing, is preferred but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
