We're looking for an experienced Fleet & Transport Planning Manager to join our senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in delivering excellence across the UK.

About the Role

As Fleet & Transport Planning Manager, you'll take the wheel of our transport operations, ensuring seamless, efficient deliveries across the country. Working closely with key stakeholders, including our parent company and key clients, you'll be instrumental in managing 3PL relationships, optimising routes, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Fleet & Route Management: Oversee the planning and execution of transport schedules to ensure on-time, efficient deliveries nationwide.
  • 3PL Management: Build strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring they meet performance and cost targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and our parent company to align on operational goals and strategies.
  • Key Account Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met with excellence.
  • System Utilisation: Leverage route planning software and PAT systems to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with DVSA requirements, leading on safety and legal obligations.
  • Leadership: Provide strategic input to the senior leadership team, driving innovation and continuous improvement in transport operations.

What We're Looking For

  • CPC Licence Holder (essential).
  • Extensive knowledge of DVSA regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proven experience in fleet and transport planning, ideally within a multi-site or nationwide operation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Experience working with 3PLs and managing supplier performance.
  • Proficiency in route planning software and an aptitude for leveraging technology to improve efficiency.
  • A strategic thinker who can balance the day-to-day with long-term planning.
