We are seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join our secondary school in central Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality education in Design & Technology. The role requires a start before Christmas, with working hours from 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive classroom management.
  • Use a range of strategies to maximise student achievement and ensure that each student makes significant progress.
  • Develop and enhance the teaching practice of others through coaching, mentoring, and sharing of good practice.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • A strong subject knowledge of Design & Technology curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
